Remember the bracelet I have felted before? I did the same thing on this one but repeated the whole procedure a number of times until I can barely distinguish the individual stitches. I am quite satisfied with the effect J The photos may not be too good to see the effect of felting.

Last month, i engaged my dear mother with some crocheting tasks, to make a scarf for my dear friend. My mom was my first crochet teacher, now its my turn to reteach her the things i learned from her. It was easy and fun and endearing. Sometimes my mom would go all the way from Bulacan to SM North just for us to meet and show me her current progress.

Finally, last sunday, my mother surprised me with the finished scarf. I like how she manage to make even stitches. I am so tempted not to give it to the recipient, but my mom is just too happy to do that for him, that i have to put up extra measures just to make sure that my friend gets the scarf before he leaves for China, the following day.

Oh well. he loved the yarns and would like to let my mom knows that he is grateful for the scarf that he sent me a picture of him wearing it. He’s keeping a low google profile, so let’s no longer name this guy.

The scarf is made from three colors of wool yarn (available at the store).

Btw, remember the first scarf i made? It’s still alive after all these years. He finally sent me a copy I m so happy that i saw my first scarf again.

Kuya Johann is one of those people who supports me on this money – earning scheme. And as one of my supporters i ‘coerced’ him (literally??) to order something from me. And since he has no idea what crocheted stuffs he would ask me to do, i was the one who offered the stuffs he could order.

One. a crocheted seat rest. (Initial plan) turned head rest (because i ran out of yarn). I saw this cute pillow from a japanese crochet magazine, and I swore i have to make one, but i have to find someone to sponsor the project since I cannot afford to spend much yarn and just own the stuff. I am really on a tight budget here, you know.

And so, dear cousin is always enthusiastic about my crocheting and he obliged. For a promising 1,000 pesos. I will make him a crocheted pillow. And of course, since i diverted from what we talked about. (Black Baguio Yarns to Variegated Blue Wool Yarn) and (Seat rest to Head rest), the price went a bit lower. (750 pesos, cost of yarn is big since yarns are bought from Dreams Glorietta and Indonesia)

He was supposed to give this as a present. But he liked it so much so he’d rather keep it for himself. (thug my heart <3)

You could use this pillow when you feel sleepy during office hours. Nice table decor too.

And these are violet purses he ordered from me too. Initial plan is 10 pieces. product turn out is 5. Lack of time.

crocheted coin purse

These coin purses are really meant to be given away. He can’t possibly force to own violet coin purses.

I have always attempted to make shoes in the past (all in vain). This time around, inspired by the wonderful babies around me, namely my two nieces (Kalai and Isay)vand newly born, PM. I was able to make shoes amidst the numerous deadlines for this month.

These shoes were crocheted in between the bulk of orders i have to deliver before Christmas. My friends who like the red riding hood bolero expected theirs be made just in time for the holiday season. And since yours truly is not a full time crocheter, i have to do these boleros in between bus & mrt rides, office breaks, before sleeping, just after i woke up and every free time i could ever muster.

This is the first shoes i made. For my niece, Andrei Karla Dazo. The sole of the shoes are made from red soft cotton yarn (4 ply) using 2.10mm hook. The foundation stitch consists of 15 chains. And around are alternating single and treble crochet with (3 stitches for each corner to make the oval shape). Resulting to a spiked sole common to snow boots. I used red mohair yarn for the body of the shoes. Just single crochet around shaping the body. The shoe laces are made using two yarns – red and pink soft cotton yarn. Yarns are bought from indonesia.

Red Snow Boots with spiked sole

The second shoes are green moccasins for mike’s niece, baby Aeisha Isabelle Defensor. The body of the shoes are made using tape yarn bought from Dreams at Glorietta 5. The stitches are just single stitches (from the back loop) and shaped to form the body of the shoes. I used green mohair yarn for the ‘flaps’ around the ankle. And two green buttons to accentuate. Coz mike thinks these shoes look like frog, so the buttons are there to serve as their eyes.

Green 'Frog' Moccasins

The third shoes are for my friend Peach’s new born child. Its a yellow ballet shoes. Or doll shoes. Or, i don’t actually know what to call it as i crocheted these shoes from just trying out and i did not actually know how these shoes will turn out. I just know when i finish them

Peach likes yellow and so i decided that i use my yellow yarns from baguio. (She has my yellow soft cotton yarn already so i have no yellow yarns left except from my baguio yarns) The whole shoes are crocheted using single crochet. I accentuated the shoes with dragonfly metal findings.

Yellow ballet shoes for PM

And i still have another pair to make for the newly born baby of my colleague and father-like friend surly. His baby is a ‘he’ so this will be another challenge for me. (will post pictures when done.) (update. here’s the link for surly’s baby’s shoes.)

All together now.
